(Lab required) This course provides an introductory study of phonetics, grammar, and vocabulary. The course is intended for students who already have a knowledge of the alphabet and the sound system and elementary oral comprehension and reading, writing, and speaking skills. May not be held with the former UKRN 1310 and the former UKRN 1320. Prerequisite: UKRN 1312 or written consent of the department head.
