This course applies sociological concepts and methodologies to the study of contemporary society. Topics may include class inequality, gender, race and ethnicity, work, technological change, immigration, globalization, medicine, crime and deviance, and social media. This course is required of all sociology majors and minors. Restrictions: Students may not hold credit for this course and SOC-1101
