An analysis of social work practice and welfare policy from a feminist perspective. Course emphasizes the integration of social work intervention with policy in the social welfare context and overlays concepts such as empowerment, ecological practice, oppression, and practice in context of cultural diversity. Students may not hold credit for both SWRK 4210 and SWRK 4170 or SWRK 4210 and SWRK 4190. Prerequisites: SWRK 1310, SWRK 2080, SWRK 2090, and SWRK 3140.
