This course introduces basic terminology, concepts, theories and some qualitative and quantitative analytic techniques of key functional areas in business such as accounting; finance; marketing; and, production and operations management. Student participation in an online business simulation allows students to experience a practical application of these primary business functions. Emphasis is placed on relating course material to current events in the business world. Course delivery is primarily by lecture, and may be complemented by videos and guest speakers. Restrictions: Students may not hold credit for this course and AS-1101.
Prerequisites
Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40S or Applied Mathematics 40S or equivalent (prerequisite).
